Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is one of the most iconic attractions in the city, located at the base of the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai. Set on the 30-acre Burj Lake next to Dubai Mall, it is the world’s largest choreographed fountain system. The fountain stretches over 275 meters and features powerful water jets that shoot up to 150 meters high, synchronized with music and light.

Designed by the same team behind the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas, the Dubai Fountain blends modern engineering with artistic expression. It performs daily shows, with water dancing to a wide range of music genres from classical compositions and Arabic ballads to international pop hits. The combination of sound, light, and water creates a dramatic visual experience, especially after sunset when the city lights reflect off the water.

Visitors can enjoy the show from various viewpoints, including the promenade around the lake, the terraces of Dubai Mall, or from traditional abra boats that offer a close-up perspective on the water. The fountain shows take place every 30 minutes in the evening and last around five minutes, drawing large crowds throughout the week. Discover more top attractions in Dubai.
