Dubai Marina 101 Tower
Marina 101 is one of the tallest towers in Dubai and a prominent part of the skyline in Dubai Marina. The tower reaches an impressive height of 425 meters and is positioned directly behind the Burj Khalifa in terms of structural height, making it the second tallest building in the UAE. Developed by Sheffield Holding, the building was planned as a mixed-use project with hotel functions in the lower section and residential apartments in the upper section. Marina 101 is positioned close to the waterfront and offers wide views over Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf.
Construction began on 8 November 2006. The main structure of the tower was topped out in 2017, but the project has experienced significant and sustained delays since then, largely due to financial and legal issues faced by the original developer. Although the exterior is complete, the building itself has remained unfinished and non-operational for several years, standing at approximately 97% completion.
The design of Marina 101 follows a clear vertical expression that accentuates its height and presence within the skyline. The crown at the top of the tower creates a recognisable silhouette, especially at night. When fully operational, Marina 101 is intended to be regarded as one of the world’s tallest residential towers and remains an important architectural feature of Dubai Marina.
Future residents of Marina 101 are planned to benefit from a selection of on-site amenities that include swimming pools for adults and children, a fully equipped fitness centre, a gymnasium, on-site cafés and restaurants, a dedicated concierge service, a conference room, twenty-four-hour security, and convenient parking. The project has attracted significant attention from buyers due to its location, height, and lifestyle offering. Prices for one-bedroom units often begin at approximately AED 1,470,000 (around USD 400,000).
