Dubai Tram

The Dubai Tram is a street-level public transport system that runs through key areas of the city including Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, and Al Sufouh. It is designed for local travel within this part of Dubai and connects with both the metro and Palm Monorail.

The tram is modern, fully air-conditioned, and reliable. It operates on a fixed track along the street and is useful for residents, tourists, and daily commuters moving around the Marina and nearby neighborhoods. It is especially helpful if you live in a building near the beach, work in Media City, or need to connect to the Dubai Metro without walking long distances in the heat.

The tram runs from 6 AM to 1 AM from Saturday to Thursday and from 9 AM to 1 AM on Fridays. Trams usually arrive every 6 to 10 minutes depending on the time of day. It is fully integrated with the Nol card system, so you use the same card as for the metro and buses.

There are eleven tram stations including Marina Towers, JBR1 and JBR2, Dubai Marina Mall, Media City, Knowledge Village, and Palm Jumeirah. The tram links with the metro at Sobha Realty and DMCC stations, and with the Palm Monorail at Palm Gateway station.

The fare is the same as a standard Nol card journey within one zone, starting at around AED 3. You must tap your Nol card at the station before boarding and again after exiting. Gold Class and Women and Children sections are available for added comfort.

The tram is a convenient way to travel short distances in one of Dubai’s busiest residential and tourist areas. It is clean, punctual, and especially popular in cooler months when people explore the Marina and beach on foot.
