A Nol card is a smart travel card used across Dubai’s public transport system. It works on the metro, buses, trams, and even water transport. With a simple tap at the entry and exit points, your fare is automatically calculated and deducted from the card balance. Types of Nol Cards

Red Ticket: A paper ticket for short-term use. It costs AED 2 and can be loaded with single trips or daily passes. It is ideal for tourists or visitors staying for a short time.

Silver Card: A reusable plastic card valid for five years. It costs AED 25 and includes AED 19 of credit. It is suitable for most users including residents and long-stay visitors. It works across all transport modes.

Gold Card: Same as the Silver Card but allows access to Gold Class cabins on the metro and tram. It also costs AED 25 with AED 19 of credit. Gold Class fares are double the standard rate.

Where to Buy a Nol Card

You can buy Nol cards at metro and bus stations, RTA customer service centers, ticket vending machines, supermarkets like Carrefour or Spinneys, and some convenience stores. Silver and Gold Cards are widely available. Red Tickets can be bought from ticket machines or station counters. Blue Cards must be applied for online or at RTA offices and require valid ID.

How to Top Up a Nol Card
